Patty's Stuffing

Mom's world famous stuffing


1 lb pork sausage
1 stick butter
1 cup onion, finely chopped
1 cup celery, finely chopped
1 garlic clove, minced
10 cups unseasoned croutons (14-16oz bag)
2 lightly beaten eggs
1 1/2 tsp sage
1 1/2 cup to 2 cups chicken broth
1/4 cup dry white wine
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper


  1. Brown sausage and drain
  2. Saute onion, celery, and garlic in butter 5-10 minutes
  3. In a bowl mix in sausage, onion, celery, garlic, croutons, eggs, sage, chicken broth, white wine, salt, pepper
  4. If stuffing bird, stuff lightly because stuffing will swell.
  5. If baking in oven, cover and bake for 30-35 minutes at 350°.
