Mom's world famous stuffing
Ingredients
1 lb pork sausage
1 stick butter
1 cup onion, finely chopped
1 cup celery, finely chopped
1 garlic clove, minced
10 cups unseasoned croutons (14-16oz bag)
2 lightly beaten eggs
1 1/2 tsp sage
1 1/2 cup to 2 cups chicken broth
1/4 cup dry white wine
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
Directions
- Brown sausage and drain
- Saute onion, celery, and garlic in butter 5-10 minutes
- In a bowl mix in sausage, onion, celery, garlic, croutons, eggs, sage, chicken broth, white wine, salt, pepper
- If stuffing bird, stuff lightly because stuffing will swell.
- If baking in oven, cover and bake for 30-35 minutes at 350°.
